7. Cookies

PickSharper uses cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help the platform work correctly.

7.1 Essential cookies

PickSharper may use essential cookies for:

  • login sessions;
  • authentication;
  • account security;
  • age-confirmation/session state;
  • remembering basic platform preferences;
  • preventing unauthorized access;
  • maintaining platform functionality.

Essential cookies are necessary for PickSharper to work.

7.2 Non-essential cookies

At beta launch, PickSharper uses essential cookies only — a session cookie to keep you signed in and a language (locale) cookie to remember your language.

PickSharper does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking cookies at beta launch.

If PickSharper later introduces analytics or other non-essential cookies, this Policy will be updated and, where required, consent will be requested through a cookie banner or settings panel.

PickSharper does not use personalized advertising at beta launch.

7.3 Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Blocking essential cookies may prevent PickSharper from working correctly.

If PickSharper introduces a cookie banner or cookie settings panel, users may be able to manage non-essential cookies through that tool.

8. AI features and data

PickSharper's AI predictors generate predictions and match analysis from sports and match data, not from your personal data. PickSharper does not send your personal data to third-party AI providers.

The statistical match insights shown on PickSharper (such as form, probability, and head-to-head indicators on match pages) come from our third-party sports-data provider.

If PickSharper begins processing personal data for AI features — for example using providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or local models — this Policy will be updated before any personal data is processed for AI, the providers will be named, and any required consent will be obtained.

PickSharper will not use user content to train external AI models unless this is separately disclosed and, where required, consent is obtained.

AI outputs are probabilistic and informational only, and may be inaccurate.

9. Third-party services

PickSharper may use third-party services to operate the platform.

These may include:

  • hosting provider: Netcup (servers and database in Germany);
  • email delivery provider: Resend (verification and password-reset emails);
  • email/contact provider: Zoho (the contact@picksharper.com mailbox);
  • sports data provider: API-SPORTS (API-Football);
  • error monitoring: Sentry, where enabled;
  • technical infrastructure providers.

PickSharper does not send personal data to external AI providers (see Section 8). If that changes, they will be named in this Policy before any personal data is processed for AI.

Third-party providers process data only as needed to provide their services, support PickSharper operations, or comply with applicable requirements.

10. Hosting and data location

PickSharper is hosted using Netcup infrastructure.

The application and database are hosted in Germany (Netcup, Nuremberg data center).

Data may be processed in Germany, Georgia, and other locations where PickSharper or its service providers operate.

Where third-party services process data outside Georgia or the European Economic Area, PickSharper will rely on available legal, contractual, technical, or organizational safeguards where required.

11. Advertising and sponsored content

PickSharper may show direct advertisements or sponsored content.

At beta launch:

  • PickSharper does not use personalized advertising;
  • PickSharper does not use tracking pixels;
  • PickSharper does not use betting affiliate links;
  • PickSharper does not allow gambling affiliate promotion.

If advertising practices change, this Policy may be updated.

12. Marketing emails

PickSharper does not send marketing emails at beta launch.

PickSharper may introduce marketing emails in the future.

If marketing emails are introduced:

  • users may unsubscribe from marketing emails;
  • unsubscribe instructions will be included where appropriate;
  • users may still receive service, security, legal, account, or transactional emails.

13. Data retention

PickSharper keeps personal data only for as long as needed for platform operation, security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, ranking integrity, or legitimate business purposes.

At beta launch:

  • security and technical logs are generally retained for up to 30 days;
  • when you delete your account, your account and the data linked to it (predictions, comments, likes, follows, badges, and personal statistics) are permanently deleted from the live database;
  • backups are encrypted and generally rotated within 30 days, after which deleted data is also gone from backups;
  • aggregate, non-identifying statistics that do not reference your account may be retained.

14. Account deletion

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Danger zone. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it removes your account and the data linked to it — including your predictions, comments, likes, follows, badges, and personal statistics — from the live database.

Copies may remain in encrypted backups until backup rotation completes (generally within 30 days), after which they are also removed. PickSharper may retain limited records only where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

You can also email contact@picksharper.com for help with deletion or to make a data request.

15. Data access and export

PickSharper does not offer automated data export at beta launch.

Users may request available personal data by contacting:

contact@picksharper.com

PickSharper may need to verify the requester's identity before responding to access, deletion, or correction requests.

16. Data correction

Users may request correction of inaccurate personal data by contacting:

contact@picksharper.com

PickSharper may not be able to change historical prediction records, leaderboard records, locked prediction data, or other integrity-critical records where correction would damage the accuracy or integrity of the platform.

17. Security

PickSharper uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect user data.

These may include:

  • hashed passwords;
  • access controls;
  • rate limiting;
  • admin audit logs;
  • backups;
  • database protections;
  • security monitoring;
  • account and session controls.

No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Users are responsible for keeping their account credentials safe.

18. User responsibilities

Users should:

  • use a strong password;
  • keep login credentials private;
  • avoid sharing accounts;
  • report suspicious account activity;
  • avoid posting private personal information in comments or notes;
  • avoid posting links, scams, or prohibited content.

19. Minors

Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use community features.

People under 18 may only view publicly available content where access is not restricted.

If PickSharper learns that an account has been created by a person under 18, the account may be suspended or deleted.

20. Changes to this Policy

PickSharper may update this Privacy & Cookies Policy from time to time.

When material changes are made, PickSharper may notify users through the platform, email, or another reasonable method.

The updated Policy becomes effective when published, unless a later date is stated.
